Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Most RealUtil tools run entirely in your browser and don't send anything anywhere. Two are different: the Letter tone tool and the contact form. Both send your input through a small server we run, which forwards it to a third-party API. We don't store what you send. The Server-routed features section below describes the full chain.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies. We store your dark mode preference and any favorited tools in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Server-routed features

Letter tone tool (/text/letter/). The tool sends your text to Google's Gemini API to generate the rewrite. We don't read or store it on our side. Our Cloudflare Pages Function checks the request, applies a per-IP rate limit (the IP sits in memory, never on disk), and forwards the text over HTTPS to Gemini in the US. When the moderation layer is on, the text also goes through OpenAI for a safety check before Gemini sees it. Google may retain the prompt and response for a limited safety-review window, per their Gemini API Terms. Paid-tier processor terms apply because we operate from the EEA. Legal basis: legitimate interest under GDPR Art 6(1)(f). Sub-processors: Cloudflare (EU+US), Google (US, DPF), OpenAI (US, DPF). We keep nothing on our side.

Contact form (/contact/). The form sends your name, email, and message to Cloudflare Turnstile for an anti-bot check (which sees your IP), then delivers the message to the operator's inbox via Resend. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps at your request, GDPR Art 6(1)(b). Sub-processors: Cloudflare (EU+US), Resend (US, DPF).
